To help encourage lower emission cars the government introduced new road tax (rfl) banding including a band where there is actually no road tax charge if the car emits a low enough Co2 level! On this site we provide you with the latest info on RFL banding plus some examples of cars that qualify for the zero charge.  At present the limit is 100 gms km, so any car producing less than this level of Co2 is exempt from the tax.
What is Co2 It's carbon dioxide and is a by-product of burning fuel in cars. It's thought to be a major contributor to green house gases which are thought to be causing damage to the planet and therefore reducing the Co2 produced by car engines is a positive move to a greener planet. |
